Happy Friday!
I can’t believe it’s already time to start thinking about back to school. It seems like the summer just started a few weeks ago!
But here we are. And this year, C is going to be heading to pre-school! (*sob*) And being a crafty crocheting mom, I of course want to make him some of his school supplies, as I’m sure you would like to do for the little ones in your life.
Here are 9 of the coolest crochet patterns for boys, including pencil and lunch bags, back packs and even a text book cover!
Back to School Patterns for Boys
Pencil cases
Monsters seem to be the design of choice for pencil bags (I guess because they like to eat your school supplies?) but they sure do make some cute pencil bags!
Here’s one from Crochet Dreamz that I feel like you could also turn into a Ninja Turtle if you were so inclined:
And here’s one from 5 Little Monsters that utilizes a button closure as opposed to the zipper closure on the previous one:
And last but not least, here’s a cute little crocodile bag! I love how the zipper stands in for his teeth!
Book cover
This comes from Sewrella, who has a TON of back to school patterns, so if you’re looking for something you couldn’t find here, go check her site out!
Lunch Bag
See what I mean? This is also from Sewrella! And is a super cute little lunch bag.
Backpack
There are so many crochet backpacks, it’s hard to choose just a few. But these patterns are great for little boys and some bigger boys!
I love this little dino backpack! From A Crafty Concept:
If you’re looking for something a little more grown up and neutral(ish), check out this backpack from Vanessa’s Values:
And for the sporty kid, here’s a backpack that looks like a soccer ball! From Knitted-Patterns.com (don’t worry, it’s a crochet pattern!):
And last but not least, here’s a backpack for a younger sibling who hasn’t started school yet, but wants to be like big bro/sis. From Left in Knots:
